Prospective Graduate Positions
We actively recruit qualified students to join our team. Students who are interested in joining our team should contact Dr. Akgül. Priorities will be given to ambitious students with lab experience and English proficiency. A degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Bioengineering would be preferred but not necessary.
There might be “YOK 100/2000” scholarships available (http://www.yok.gov.tr/web/100-2000/ana-sayfa). Students must meet one of the two following criteria:
1. Hold an MSc degree or
2. Apply for a joint degree (MSc/PhD) with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
We may also have scholarships available through our research projects.
One graduate scholarship is available starting in January of 2026.

IYTE Undergraduate Students
We welcome ambitious IYTE undergraduate students who are interested in noncoding RNAs and/or apoptosis. Please stop by my Office to declare your intention.

We also provide opportunities for internship only to a limited number of students with high credentials. Please contact us with (1) a motivation letter, (2) CV and (3) a copy of transcript for evaluation. Applications will not be processed without these documents.
